Infused cannabis honey is great for adding to drinks or other recipes and enjoying the relaxing effects of cannabis. This recipe will show you how easy it is to make your own at home with just a small amount of weed.
The recipes invloves using decarboxylized cannabis. This is when you heat raw cannabis so that unactive THC-A turns into pschoactive THC. If you skip this step your final results won’t have that strong THC “high”.

Weed-Infused Honey Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup honey
- 3.5 grams decarboxylated cannabis (finely ground)
Equipment:
- Double boiler (or a heat-proof bowl and a pot)
- Cheesecloth or fine strainer
- Glass jar with tight-fitting lid for storage
Instructions:
- Add water to the bottom pan of your double boiler and bring to a low simmer.
- Pour the honey into the top section of the double boiler and allow it to warm up until it becomes less viscous.
- Mix your finely ground, decarboxylated cannabis into the warm honey.
- Maintain a low heat and let the honey and cannabis mixture simmer for about 40 minutes to an hour. Do not let it boil. This heats the honey and cannabis together, allowing the cannabinoids to infuse into the honey.
- Check and stir the mixture occasionally to prevent burning or uneven heating.
- After simmering, remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- Place the cheesecloth or fine strainer over a bowl or jar and carefully pour the honey mixture through it. This will remove the cannabis plant material from the honey.
- Pour the strained honey into your storage jar and secure the lid.
- Store the infused honey in a cool, dark place. It can last for months when stored properly.
Note: Always be cautious when consuming cannabis-infused edibles. Start with a small amount to test potency.
